Stroller searching has taken us in many different directions so far from “we don’t need a stroller at first” to “let’s just get one of bases that our car seat snaps into” to “I am convinced we need a Bugaboo.” Luckily the Bugaboo was a passing phase that I think we are both over. Today I took a stroll into babies r us to once again check out the Chicco Liteway. The Chicco is a pretty solid stroller with good reviews. I am not crazy about the color schemes and while it seems like a silly thing to base decisions on, it was enough to keep me on the look out. On my way out I noticed that the Mamas & Papas products had landed and I would be able to check them out in person. Their Sola stroller stacks up nicely against the Bugaboo Bee at a fraction of the cost, but it is too heavy and doesn’t fold small enough for an urban mama like me, otherwise it would have been the front runner. The Voyage on the other hand is a lot like Chicco I had been test driving with a few features that justify the heftier price tag. The handles are height adjustable, the canopy can extend to reach the footrest, and there is a cover over the viewing panel. It is good from birth to 50lbs so in theory will be around for a few years of solid use.
